A Court Scene in the Heart of the Zutuhuile Indian Country in Guatemala The Tribe of Zutuhuile Indians is ruled over by a representative of the civil government usually a military officer who is assisted by the native chiefs. Court is held daily, not unlike our own police court and the petty differences of the inhabitants are adjusted. 5.26.22

This photograph appears to have been taken up in the cloister of the church. The girl second from the front on the right also appears in the film "Menace of Guatemala". This leads us to think that this photo was staged.
