The 1930s is well documented in Atitlan. During this time Atitlan was visited by many national fotographers. Fotos taken were used to make numerous postcards. these are characterized by the hand-tinted quality of these postcards. Some important postcards were taken by Roberto Eichenberger and Francisco Muñoz . By far the largest of the postcard collections was taken by Adolfo Biener, who returned to Atitlan throughout the 1930s.
